No matter where you’re at, or how ready you feel, we want you to know that there’s something here for you

Our team is working to bring you financially accessibly, self-directed, capacity building recovery resources that are rooted in community.
Whether you’re looking to create your own alternative path to recovery or connect with clinical providers, we can partner with you in finding the tools that are aligned with your goals and vision for recovery.

We believe you’re the expert in your experience, and because of this you’re also the expert in your recovery. Our team has a combined 20+ years of lived experience with eating disorders, and can help you find the tools and resources that feel most supportive for you and what you’re dealing with, allowing you to step into recovery from an empowered place. We do this through one-on-one, customized support via phone and email.

Here are some examples of things we can support you with:

  • Finding community groups where you can feel seen and understood in your experience

  • Connecting with clinical providers in your area

  • Getting answers to questions about unique symptoms or situations, and support to navigate them

  • Clarifying immediate next steps in recovery

  • Finding free and low cost recovery tools and worksheets

  • Building understanding around eating disorder symptoms, impact and prevention

  • Ongoing support and guidance through your journey (our services are not one-and-done!)

  • Reconnecting to hope and building resiliency

  • Offering tools and ideas for how your loved ones can better support you IRL

  • Finding support for intersecting/ co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, CPTSD, substance use and more

 

Our Support Groups

We offer free online support groups for anybody living with an eating disorder

Professionally led support groups for those who have a desire to be in community with others through recovery from an eating disorder, disordered eating and diet culture.
All identities are welcome
No diagnosis needed to attend.
For ages 18 years and older. 
No expectation to share until you’re ready.

 

Moving Forward Group

We offer two times for this group every Thursday: one at 6:30pm ET, and one at 9:30pm ET

Moving Forward is a weekly support group for those who have a desire to connect with others, through recovery from an eating disorder, diet culture, and body shame. This is a professionally led group, but is meant to serve as peer-to-peer support, and is not a substitute for therapeutic support.

**Please be sure to Google the time change if you are outside of these zones, as not all states participate in daylight savings time, and this can impact the timezone translation.

Every Body Matters Group

Wednesdays, 6-7 pm ET

Every Body Matters is a weekly online community and conversation about recovery, our experiences as they relate to our bodies and intersecting identities, and how we can live from a more embodied and connected place. Through community-led sharing & guided discussions, Every Body Matters aims to cultivate a safe and empowering community for those who are healing from an eating disorder, diet culture, and body shame and oppression.

** This group is structured to provide more anonymity and safety, as all participants (with the exception of facilitator) are muted without video, and use the chat function to share and engage.

In 2009, we opened Cafe at 407, "a cafe with a cause," in the front of our building as a creative way to fund our work and offer a safe space for folks in recovery to heal, eat and find support, all while inviting the community to be part of the solution.

The mission is to serve delicious, locally-sourced and handmade-with-love food. Food that nourishes the body, feeds the soul and builds community around it. All the profits go back to supporting our mission and community support services.
