the vision of ophelia's place began in 2001 over a cup of coffee. with lots of prayer, encouragement from my daughters, and a husband who was clearing the path in front of me... sweeping up after me... walking hand in hand with me (all at the same time)... the dream became a reality in the summer of 2002.

everything, and nothing, has changed in the last 4 years. the everything part - a larger community of support, bigger space, greater outreach, an e-newsletter, educational dvd's, a new look, award winning psa's, a staff (which really is a team of unbelieveably committted people who get it...), and an 'over the top' board of directors. the nothing part - lots of prayer, encouragement from my daughters, and a husband who - yes - is clearing, sweeping, and most importantly, holding my hand.
